All prices are in Pounds Sterling and include VAT

Prices shown are only applicable to purchase made via the Bat & Bottle website and may differ to those shown in our printed material

Price is quoted per single bottle / unit and may be subject to change

Wines are 75cl unless otherwise stated

Minimum Order

There is no minimum order – you may buy any number of bottles that you so choose

Confirmation of Order

Once your order has been accepted, Bat & Bottle will confirm your order by sending an email to you at the email address that you have used to log in to our website.  We will contact you should we be encounter problems with fulfilment of your order. 

Details of your order (not your payment details) will be kept on your record within the website and will be available to you only.

Delivery

Delivery is UK nationwide

Delivery is free for any order over £150,  Highlands and Islands carry a surcharge

All other delivery options (include timed deliveries) and charges are listed in detail below.

An order relates to one single delivery

Collections can be made from our shop on Pillings Rd, Oakham (opening hours listed below)

Delivery Date From Order

All deliveries are sent using a next day courier service.  However, we can not guarantee next day deliveries and should there be a delay of more than 3 days, we will contact you and advise you of when it will be due.

Methods of Payment

We accept Visa and Mastercard (debit and credit), Maestro , Electron and Solo cards.

You must provide us with the full address to which the card has been issued.

We have made every effort to ensure that Bat & Bottle provides a fully secure link for credit card payments. In addition, the details of your credit card will be deleted once they have been used by us, they are not held on record anywhere on the internet.

Placing an Order Without Paying on the Internet

If you prefer payment by cheque (payable to Bat & Bottle) or bank transfer (please contact us for account details), your order will be dispatched when we have received the funds.

Payment Validation Checks

All credit and charge card transactions are subject to authorisation.  If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for non-delivery.

Using Neighbours as An Alternative Delivery Addresses

If you are uncertain as to whether or not someone will be at home all day, there is a “special instruction” facility in which you can authorise nearby house numbers as alternative addresses where your wine can be left if no-one is in.  Your special instruction must contain no more than 60 characters.

Unsigned for Deliveries

If no-one can be at home to meet the courier, and you have not got an alternative delivery address you can use, your wine can be left in a place designated by you, unsigned for.  Bat & Bottle cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.  Your special instruction must contain no more than 60 characters.

Quality Guarantee

We guarantee the quality of every wine on the list.

Please contact us by phone, fax or email if you have received a corked bottle.

Breakages, Non-Delivery and Short Deliveries

Any damaged bottles or missing cases must be reported to us by email, phone or fax as early as possible and within 5 working days of the expected delivery date.  Failure to inform us within this time could lead to the items no longer being covered by insurance and no recompense being available.

Please be certain to check the number of parcels you are signing for.  We will not replace wines that have been signed for but not received.  Any missing cases of wine will be chased up within the couriers system and, provided we have been informed within the time limits specified, and the case(s) is untraceable, we will send replacements as fast as possible.

Orders Made From Overseas

Delivery is within the UK only.  Payment is in Pounds Sterling. 

Refund Policy

We will refund any bottles returned to us in perfect condition, this includes labels and capsules. This will not affect your statutory rights.

Collections will be charged at £12 and must be arranged either by phone or by email directly with us.

Minimum Age

By law, all customers purchasing alcohol must be 18 and above. You will be asked to confirm this when placing your order.

Privacy

Bat & Bottle is committed to maintaining the privacy of all of our customers.  We do not use your personal information for any use other than order fulfilment and keeping you aware of any offers or changes to our wine list.  We do not share your information with any other companies.

Shop Collections

Our shop is located on Pillings Road, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6QF

Pillings Road is off Lands End Way; this is the first right hand turn (by the entrance to the Sixth Form college) after the level crossing, taking the road to Melton Mowbray.

Pillings Road Industrial Estate is clearly signposted at the level crossing and at the turning.

Pillings Road is the first right hand turn at the far end of Lands End Way.

We are 2/3rds of the way down on the Left Hand Side, after Jeff Dale’s Auction House and Alfa Blinds.
